Use position to your advantage.

Of course you should be doing this anyway, but when there are beginner players at the table this is a trump card.

Some beginners don't even yet know that the players who act later/last actually have the advantage - well I didn't when I started and I know a lot of people who are the same.

This means they will sometimes be in a pot when they really shouldn't be, or play hands that they are going to be hard up winning.

The flip side is this next trick that you always want to avoid doing. It's risky in normal play and ten time as much against beginners.

Bluffing (and semi-bluffing)

On the other hand, don't bluff beginners. Beginner players will often not realise when you are bluffing.

They aren't smart enough or advanced enough to calculate that you could "possibly" have something, and they can't do it to the degree they would actually fold a hand based on that information.

For this reason. You shouldn't bluff beginners players. This goes hand in hand with playing loose - playing poor cards - and making up for it with betting.

Although they are likely to think you have a good hand if you bet big, they will often just call if they have a good hand because they guess they can beat you.
