So what exactly is the basic job description of a Field Inspector? An Independent Field Inspector or Freelance Field Inspector is contacted by a company to inspect a property, vehicle or business for them. They will more than likely ask for photos of the property and supply you with a simple questionnaire then you simply answer "yes or no" pertaining some unseen aspects of the property as well. Then they will ask you to email or fax the information back to them. So you see all you basically need is a digital camera and a computer with internet access and you're in!
This is the good part. How much is the average pay of an Independent Field Inspector? As I said earlier a company will contact an inspector for different services and as you can imagine each inspection is at a different cost to the company.
