Splinter Cell - Conviction Review

The fans have waited a long time for the latestof the Splinter Cell sequence. The name is Splinter Cell: Conviction. Before I had playedthe game I was wandering if they have done something different. Have they transformedthe game from its stealth brand?

It's not hard to find out. From the minuteyou start playing you have full control over the character - Fisher. I was put into this extraordinarilybeautiful world. The details on everyobject, the way the game goes black and white when you're in a shadyplace, the way your objectives are displayed. All these create one gorgeousand stylishworld.

As I started playing it just emerged to me. The thing I was wondering about, the majordifference. The gameplay is changed. The game that was famous of its stealth action and mechanics now involves a lot more gunfire. I'm not saying it has transformedto bad, it has kept most of the stealth action but now it also offersyou the optionto go the other way around. Just shoot everybodyaround and job done. Conviction also has good cover mechanics so it allows you to experiment.

As I said Splinter Cell: Conviction has kept most of it stealth action. With your gadgets and some smartthinking you can make differentimprovisations. For instanceyou can set up traps. This way you can murdera large number of enemies and make your missioneasier. But the computerisn'tsillyeither, as youmurdermore and more enemies at some point they will stop falling into your trap.

There is another featureI find very interesting. When youexecutesomeone in a melee fight, you gain points. These can be used to mark enemies and then let Fisher finish them with a headshot.

Splinter Cell: Conviction has it problems. First of all the campaign is quite short and you might find it a little bit effortless. Secondly the checkpoints aren't well dispersed. This proved to be a troublein some longer missions. There are some situations in which you might find yourself surrounded by the bad guys and you can't do anything. And there are other things, at some point I saw how Fisher shot a guy through a wall.

Bottom line, every gamer who is into the stealth genre should have the Splinter Cell: Conviction. I have played Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory and Double Agent and seeing how the game progresses is justincredible. Though Conviction has its flaws you just can't underestimate it. All these situations where you find yourself in a room full of enemies can't erase the beautiful and stylish world Splinter Cell: Conviction offers you. You can play 3D flashgames online there are a lot of really good free flash games. Some of them are evenmultiplayer games.
