Seminole County Non-Profit Identifies Itself With Customized Lapel Pins

With there being a large number of non-profits located in Central Florida, New Directions Community Outreach, Inc. (NDCO) recently enlisted ourhelp to make its organization more visible. The small Seminole County centered charity not only needed a way to identify NDCO volunteers at events, but was also in desperate need of an official logo that would emphasize its passion for and commitment to serving the community.

Strengthening The Fight Against Homelessness

NDCO was founded in 2004, as a feeding program for homeless individuals and families in Seminole County. Since then, despite many adversities, the organization has grown to one that offers a multitude of programs, resources, tools and activities to help those in need become self-sufficient. NDCO's mission is to reduce and prevent the growing rate of homelessness in Central Florida by continuing to expand the availability of housing, outreach, awareness and educational programs, something that is possible only by its own continued growth.

Just like NDCO, Lapel Pins Plus is dedicated to doing whatever we can to serve the community, especially when we are given an opportunity to help charitable organizations grow. In this case, that meant creating a custom lapel pin with a logo that captured NDCO's caring and giving purpose.

They Could Not Have Dreamed of a Better Design

The charity's soft enamel lapel pin speaks volumes about the principles upon which NDCO was founded. Its custom shape and high polished gold plating makes the heart shaped "helping" hands easy to see against the burgundy background. The organizations initials are boldly set above its full name. Its "No Dream Is Impossible" motto can be read in a healing blue tone while a reference to the countyits serves is made along the bottom edge.

What we took the most pleasure in, besides generating the organizations official logo, is the fact that the charity's lapel pin can be used in more than one way. As logo lapel pins, they give the organization a visual identity. As volunteer pins, they give the staff and members a uniform as well as a conversation piece. By selling the heart lapel pins, NDCO could also raise money while encouraging others to show their support.

Custom pins can be designed to support all areas of an organizations growth and outreach efforts. For NDCO, and organizations like it, having a visual identity is the key to establishing a strong presence in society. Organizational growth is what allows non-profits to continue serving their communities and fighting for the cause.
