Rice Cooker Parts
The rice cooker has made cooking rice much more convenient than boiling it in a pot or in a pan on the stove
. Putting it in a machine with a set amount of water and spices then programming it to cook is a great time saver. However, as with many electronic things, machines have a tendency to break and so parts may be needed. There are plenty of ways to get rice cooker parts and not just on the internet either.
No one wants to run out and buy another cooker for just one simple part. Some manufacturers include a list in the cooker manual or booklet with parts that can be bought through them. Sometimes a small card is often placed in the packaging with the same list and a 'no postage' envelope to mail back to them. Simply check off the part needed, seal in the envelope and drop in the nearest mail slot.
This little card allows you to check the part you need, provide a payment option and drop it in the nearest mail slot. This is all done for the convenience of the consumer of course. It's frustrating when you purchase a cooker, then it breaks and you either have to buy a part or a new one? Most of the time, buying a new one is not what the customer has in mind. By the companies providing this list, you can keep your same cooker and have a small cost for repairing it.
Parts for a rice cooker can also be bought online. Start by pointing your browser to the search engine of your choice. Type in the model number and brand of cooker you bought. You will, of course, get the company's website to appear along with small, generic brand sellers. The best option is to purchase from the company that produces that brand of cooker. It's likely you will have better chances getting the necessary part from them.
You are by no means limited to purchasing parts from the company brand. You can purchase from the generic sellers if you wish. It depends on the consumer's preference really. Some consumers feel safer with their online transactions if they buy parts from the cooker's company.
But, if you carefully review the generic seller, sometimes you can find a cheaper price for the same part. While this can save you money, it may be your only option if your rice cooker is an older model. When your model is older, the company may choose not to support it any longer, so looking for a generic seller will solve your part problem. Make sure to compare prices between generic sellers in order to receive the best price.
The other way to find rice cooker parts is by checking your product for a manufacturer warranty. Some cookers can be under a 90-day or longer warranty, especially if the company is a reputable one. If this is the case, clean up your cooker well and pack it up for mailing. Once the company receives it, they can replace or fix the damaged part for a lesser price than buying a new one.
