Story: 8 / 10

Well it was only a matter of time before a great book became a great movie series and then a game. If you noticed I didn't use the word "great" with game, you have keen eyes my friend and there is a reason why.

The premise to this book/movie/game adaptation is simple. You play 6 Billion Dollar man Assassin to the U.S. Government, but you have gained amnesia on a routine snipe. In the process of trying to discover your past, you end up fighting off the villains and friends. The game takes place only on the first movie, which too much dismay is a bit weird considering all 3 movies were released before the game was GOLD.

Gameplay: 5 / 10

Fighting is done in a simple Combo button mashes, block, button mashes, block, and etc. Rinse and repeat. Now this can get old quick, so they inserted a slight button variation that'll include a kick here and there, but that's it. The counter system is an adrenaline gauge.

The adrenaline works in this manner: You kick some butt, you get adrenaline, then execute adrenaline as a QTE (Quick Time Event) to just punish your enemy in one of two moves. It's nice a dandy to have because if refills your health when you complete one successfully. There is one issue though, you'll be doing a LOT of blocking, because the enemy sometimes has quicker reflexes than you and there isn't any type of counter system to that. It would've been nice to have that added to the gameplay to balance things a bit, but like any movie adaptation to game, things get lost in translation.

Duck/Cover system works pretty well and so does the insane accuracy with rifles and SMG guns from more than 30ft away. It's funny but it works.

Graphics: 8 / 10

Some great renditions have been made the game's engine. It holds well with the character models and environments. It may seem a bit too kiddy for some on how the only car sequence is rendered. Yes there is only one care sequence, which is ok I guess, but still weird.

This generation graphics are kept up to date to say the least. I didn't experience any funny business or glitches.

Challenge/Replay Value: 3 / 10

The game itself is pretty easy and you'll complete this puppy in about 5 hours or less. I did this over a friend's house in the weekend. Quite a fun ride, but left me wanting more. It has replay value in the aspect of achievements, but at the harder levels it gets down right annoying and too repetitive.

I think only hardcore achievement junkies (no offense) would want to go far with this game. Also, for your efforts, you'll get unlocked music tracks, concept art, and wallpapers, but that's it.

I will make this final comment as I'm trying something new with my reviews. RENT or BUY:

This game is at most, worth a RENTAL if you decided to play it. This game gets my Rental view only a rental because of its short gameplay and story. If it would've had all three stories and a counter system this game would be a contender of a higher price, but at $60, it's not worth it, at least to me.

This trailer sums up everything you'll play in about those 5 hours (without achievement collecting). I would like to state that I feel sorry that I couldn't say much more for this game.
