This is nothing against the people that enjoy wearing skinny jeans whether you are male or female
. In my case, they are very uncomfortable and I could never wear them. My point is if you want to become a top leader and earner in your MLM business then you must make yourself uncomfortable. If you are having minimal or outstanding success in your company but you haven't taken it to the next level then you must consider this approach.
So how do you get uncomfortable?
Many people start a MLM business and think they don't have to pick up the phone to talk to people. Well in my opinion and statistics show that if you don't use the phone you are leaving serious money on the table. Don't get me wrong, you can have success without callings people but you will never achieve the guru income status. Most successful entrepreneurs have had this problem at some point but once they get uncomfortable and overcome their fears the sky is the limit.
Prime example, when I first started an MLM business about 4yrs ago I would never pick the phone and call anyone. I never did a follow up either. I had a fear of messing up on my calls and I thought people would think I'm an idiot. My business suffered dramatically and I always wondered why. Well one day I got over my fears and picked the phone and I did it over and over again. Finally that fear became an afterthought and my business started to grow hand over fist. My income started to flourish the more people I spoke to. Not because I wanted to sell people, I just wanted to help and provide value. The product sold itself.
Be different from the crowd.
Don't just use the internet as your only tool. You can reach many people in different ways. Talk to people on the phone, set up meetings, or speak to people in public. You speak to people every single day, why not spark up a conversation that could lead to a potential prospect. I went to my local coffee shop one day and I was talking to the cashier about her day while waiting for my order. Our conversation turned into a discussion about her school. She was working two jobs to pay her way thru college. I provided some info for her to check out. A month later I showed up to the coffee shop again and she tells me thank you because she is on verge of quitting one of her jobs. I'm not trying to brag, that is just the power of communication no matter the form.
Never be satisfied with your level of success
As soon as you get comfortable again you have lost the battle. That's when laziness and procrastination comes into play. The more uncomfortable you are the more you will grow as a whole, especially when it comes to a MLM business because you want to teach your team to have the same mindset. Do you think Donald Trump is satisfied with what he has? I think not because it can be taken in a heartbeat but more importantly, there is ALWAYS room for improvement.
Like I said before, this is not to attack people that wear skinny jeans. If I wear them it would put me in an uncomfortable position to where I would have to act to get to where I want to be. That act would be to take them off quickly! So if you are uncomfortable doing prospect follow ups but you want more leads for your MLM business, then your act is to do follow ups. It may not be a dead on analogy but you understand my point.
