Kate Middleton Topless Photo Scandal Goes Global

While the U.K. is in uproar about the recently published topless photos of Kate Middleton, the scandal is going global despite the fact that the Royals took legal action against the French magazine Closer, which was the first to publish the photos.
More and more magazines dare to take advantage to the popularity of the Duchess of Cambridge by publishing the revealing photos. They are spreading like a virus and this makes Prince William very angry. In fact, he is ready to do whatever it takes to place those who are responsible in jail.
The Italian magazine Chi, owned by the country's former premier Silvio Berlusconi, hit the newsstands yesterday with a 26 page photo-spread of Kate, under the title,"Court Scandal: The Queen is Nude."
The pictures reportedly show the Queen-to-be sunbathing topless with Prince William on a terrace at the private property of Lord Linleys secluded chateau in the south of France. The royal couple was staying there before embarking on a tour throughout the Far East and South Pacific in order to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee.
According to recent reports, the photos are currently published by three different mags in three different countries. And meanwhile, on behalf of William and Kate the royal legal team is handling criminal charges issued against Closer magazine and the ruthless photographer for breach of privacy and trespassing. The Royals are acting aggressively all in an attempting to bar more photos from being released.
As the lawyer of the couple told the court, Kate and William were enjoying in a "healthy and profoundly intimate" moment when the pics were shot and the whole situation was "deeply personal."
Thus, Hamelle sought from the court (EURO)5,000 ($6,550) in damages from the French mag Closer, as well as an injunction forcing the mag to end the publication of the photos anywhere else, including on the net. Also, he asked the court to make Closer pay (EURO)10,000 ($13,100) in fines for each day the injunction is not obeyed. Plus (EURO)100,000 ($131,000) if the pics are sold throughout France and abroad.
Despite of the hectic legal happenings around them, Kate and William managed to make appearances throughout their tour in Asia. They visited the rainforest in Borneo this weekend and then headed to the Solomon Islands, after which they'll end their trip by staying at a luxurious private estate in the island nation of Tuvalu.
We don't know how this story will end, but sure you can stay tuned and see who is going to win the case.
