Jump Start With Cashmere Jumpers

Share: It was once a popular belief that the finest of all fabrics are worn by the high class and privileged crowds
. Though now, with rising standards of living nothing is away from the reach of most of the people and more and more people are able to afford expensive clothing. One such fabric is cashmere which stands for richness and luxury.
Cashmere is a form of wool that is made from the Kashmir goats which are found in the mountainous regions of Asia. Countries include China, Tibet, India and Mongolia. Since it is so soft and fine, it has become one of the most expensive fabrics in the world. The natural colors of cashmere are shades of whites, grays and browns. These are the reasons why cashmere wool is known for its warmth and gentleness. Hence, it feels just as good as it looks.
Cashmere jumper are one of the most beautiful pieces of clothing one can own. And its very important you know how to ensure that the jumper you are buying is pure. This is so because there are a lot of fake cashmere clothes out there. An easy way is to pull the jumper by its sides and see if it goes back to its original shape and form. High quality cashmere will immediately go back to how it was. Another thing to look out for is that the jumper has a tight weave instead of a loose knit. Whats advisable is that you shop from shops that are reputed and are well known for carrying cashmere goods. You can surrender your worries then.
Once you have bought your jumper, taking care of it is just as important. All this, so that it lasts long. Cashmere is delicate and has special laundry requirements. The first thing to make sure is that you dont wash it too often. After wearing it six to seven times, you can consider washing it in cool or lukewarm water using detergent that is meant for woolens or cashmere. After washing, spread it out flat on a towel or roll it up like a rolling pin to drain all the water. It is wool, and thus it will soak up a lot of water, which you will have to get rid off to ensure proper drying. Ensure you do not wring or twist the jumper at any point as this will loosen it and spoil its fitting. Now allow it to dry overnight, most preferably on a drying wrack and never in a dryer. Heat tends to spoil the bonds in wool and weaken the fine and delicate fibers. For best results, wash inside out or in a mesh bag. Dry clean is strictly not recommended.
Ensure the place where you intend to store your jumper is free of moths. Preferably, store it inside a clothing storage bag to prevent it from damage caused by moisture and insects. And while you are wearing one, try not to spray perfume on it.
