The ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 was co-hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, the world cup has come to an end after six weeks. In the tournament, 14 teams were participated, where they were divided into two groups with seven teams in each group.

The fours in the tournament recorded with 1901, Tillakaratne Dilshan from Sri Lanka with 61 fours, Sachin Tendulkar from India and Upul Tharanga with 52 fours in the second place.
The number runs piled by all the teams in the ICC World Cup 2011 are 21324; India has most runs in an innings with 370/4 against Bangladesh in the opening game of World Cup. The lowest total in the ICC World Cup 2011 is held by Bangladesh 58/10 against West Indies. The highest runs scored by an individual is held by Virender Sehwag with 175 runs against Bangladesh and followed by Andrew Strauss 158 against India. The leading run scorer in the tournament is Tillakaratne Dilshan with 500 runs and Sachin Tendulkar is in second position with 482 runs.
The total number of wickets claimed by the bowlers was 728, Shahid Afridi and Zaheer Khan are the leading wicket takers with 21 wickets each followed by Kiwi pacer Tim Southee 18 wickets. The best bowling figures were Windies speedster Kemar Roach with 6/27 and Sri Lanka Lasith Malinga with 6/38. These were the two bowlers who got hat-trick wickets in the World Cup 2011.
India' Yuvraj Singh was awarded with four Man of the Match trophies, India were crowned as the World Champions after 28 years. The next ICC World Cup 2015 will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
