The total number of wickets claimed by the bowlers was 728, Shahid Afridi and Zaheer Khan are the leading wicket takers with 21 wickets each followed by Kiwi pacer Tim Southee 18 wickets. The best bowling figures were Windies speedster Kemar Roach with 6/27 and Sri Lanka Lasith Malinga with 6/38. These were the two bowlers who got hat-trick wickets in the World Cup 2011.

India' Yuvraj Singh was awarded with four Man of the Match trophies, India were crowned as the World Champions after 28 years. The next ICC World Cup 2015 will be hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
