The internet is a wonderful resource for people to share experiences with others, which serve as both encouragement and warning alike. No matter what your circumstance, whether good or bad, the experience should be shared. In this article, we will outline the process on how to write a doctors review.
Step 1 - Check out the various sites around the web which allow for patient submissions. There are quite a few options to choose from. Find the one that best suits your writing style. Some will allow users to add, search, and rate doctors anonymously, while others will require users to sign up in order to complete a submission.
Step 2 - Make sure you are thorough when writing your review. Leaving content stating "wonderful doctor!" or "Just Awful" doesn't help anyone. People check out these sites because they are interested in knowing about specific experiences that other patients have been through. If you are unhappy with the physician, be ready to explain why, likewise if you are thrilled. The definition of what constitutes a high rating to one person may not necessarily be the same to another. By being descriptive, you are being helpful.
Step 3 - Don't worry about legal action being taken against you. While there was a case in the past in which a physician filed suit against his patient for comments submitted to a particular site, this was only due to a false accusation of insurance fraud on behalf of the patient. As long as you stick to the facts, there is nothing to worry about. Ratings work to make the medical field a better place by informing others of the good, bad, and ugly. Don't let yourself be intimidated to let the facts be known.
Step 4 - Make sure you don't let your emotions get in the way. Try to be as honest as possible. Just because the service was bad does not give you the right to give the right to make untrue comments as to the cleanliness of the practice. Be straight forward, and find the good in the bad and vice versa.
Step 5 - Stick to your guns. Don't believe every review you come across. Everybody has different experiences, and no physician is ever able to please everyone.
