It is YOUR business and you need to have complete control over how you run it and your relationship with your downline. You only become immune to outside influences and circumstances by promoting YOU. That means you promote yourself or the YOU brand.
When you position yourself as a leader you will attract others to you and it is you not your company they want to join. By promoting YOU and controlling your downline list you will be able to keep your business no matter what your company does. They could change their structure, disqualify you for inadvertently breaking a rule or even close down and your ability to make money will not change if this simple concept has been implemented.
There are four steps or rules to have in place to guarantee you will never lose your business due to the whim or greed of someone else. If you promote YOU as the real business and do these things your business will never disappear because the real equity will be in the relationships you are able to build.
1. You have to know what the problems are and have a solution for your prospects.
2. Share your valuable knowledge with others without expecting anything in return.
3. Learn valuable skills that raises your value to others because you can show them how to use the tools that are available.
4. Get the YOU brand and your solutions, skills, and abilities to a massive amount of people through advertising and marketing.
People do business with those they like and trust. If you give solutions to people and build a relationship with them over time they will come to like and trust you. You can do this on a massive scale through technology with hundreds and even thousands of people if your learn proper marketing techniques and implement the principles of attraction marketing.
