Facial Rejuvenation - Non Invasive Facial Rejuvenation Techniques
The skin care market keeps rapidly expanding with new facial rejuvenation procedures
. People have all sorts of alternatives today to invasive plastic surgeries like face lift and eye lifts. There are lots of non invasive or minimally invasive techniques that can help pump life and youth back into your face. Among the most popular options are laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and Botox.
Laser Skin resurfacing
This procedure uses lasers to break down the top layers of the skin. These are peeled away to reveal the smoother, more even looking skin. Laser skin resurfacing is good for reducing the look of skin imperfections, uneven skin tone, and sun-damaged skin. There are many different types of lasers available as well to produce slightly different results.
Chemical Peel
A chemical peel involves the uses of a chemical solution that also gets rid of the top layers of facial skin. The chemicals basically cause the skin to blister and later peel off, leaving the brand-new fresh skin. There may be some stinging during and after the procedure, but cool compresses can help with the pain. Chemical peels are good for reducing the look of wrinkles and fine lines, as well as getting rid of age spots, some freckles and some types of acne. This is not the best treatment option however, if your goal is to fill out sagging or sunken skin.
Microdermabrasion
This procedure uses a specialized wand to spray tiny microcrystals over the surface of the skin to remove the uppermost layers. It can produce skin that is generally more even toned, and younger looking. The process is very quick and can be done during one's lunch hour even. For those looking for a deeper treatment, dermabrasion uses the same principles but polishes off the skin down to the middle layers of facial skin, getting rid of the deeper imperfections.
Botox
This method of facial rejuvenation is made from the botulinum toxin type A that is known for it ability to reduce the look of wrinkles. The effects are temporary but can be very dramatic. It is used often for getting rid of crow's feet wrinkles and frown lines. The procedure uses needles to inject the product into the facial muscles and under the skin. This is also a very quick treatment, lasting only 30 minutes or so for each dose.
This list is certainly not exhaustive when it comes to facial rejuventation. There are dozens of options out there and a trained clinician can help you figure out with ones will best suit your needs.
