Earn Money After Retirement - But Why Not Start Now?
Earn Money After Retirement - But Why Not Start Now
?
There are so many reasons for wanting to earn money after retirement, that it would be silly to try to list them all. My own reason is that even though I am part of the baby boomer generation, I can see no logical reason whatever to cease earning, simply because I have celebrated a particular birthday.
I was brought up and educated to believe that the natural course of things was to work at your job until age 65, then simply stop and 'take it easy' until time to check out. Well, this is definitely not the way forward for me.
I learned many years ago that different people spent varying amounts of time in this enforced period of inactivity. I decided to try to find out what was different about those who managed to spend many happy, healthy years as 'retired' seniors.
One of the conclusions I came to was that there is a close link between contented long life and levels of productive activity. This productive activity can probably be anything you define it to be, but the important thing is that it results in a genuine sense of achievement.
Over the course of my own primary career, one of the measures of success, has always been levels of money earned and how this allowed me to do the things I wanted to do.
Partly because I am such an optimist (in that I do not see my earning capacity coming to an end), the things I wanted to do did not include putting aside money to live on, in the long distant future. Well, that future is now not so long distant any more and for many reasons, the option to earn, in the same way I have in the past, is no longer realistic.
This has meant that I have been on the look out for new earning opportunities for a good while now. The good news is that I really do believe that there has never been a better time in history, for people in my situation to carve out a completely new career path.
The direction I have decided to take, is to set up a business at home, using my computer, to develop as an internet marketing entrepreneur. The number and variety of opportunities is mind-blowing and the thing I like best is that I can start in a modest way, using little money and some spare time.
This is my learning curve time, so that by the time I wish to stay at home full-time, I intend to have the ability to produce whatever full-time income I require.
I have learned two really valuable lessons so far: firstly, I am going to learn all I can by studying the methods and techniques of two or three successful 'internet gurus'. Secondly, while these people make a lot of money selling material to teach people such as me, the best of them are able to provide a great deal of valuable information for free.
By using their free training, in ebooks, videos and email courses etc., I can learn enough to decide whose material is likely to be worth investing in, for further study and development.
I have also discovered that there are two sensible tracks I can follow at the same time. The first involves signing up for regular lessons, to be delivered by email, while the second means I receive the whole course all at once, usually as downloadable files, and can work on it at my own pace.
Both involve step by step instruction in the various aspects of new skills and methods, all of which are necessary to start and run a successful business.
For someone who is a little old-fashioned, working through a lot of the hype involved was not easy at first. The long sales pages and extravagant claims are a bit difficult to swallow. Some research, due diligence and serious thought can help to weave your way through all this. I have now got to the stage where I get really excited by a lot of the new things I am learning.
Below are links to examples of each of the ways I have chosen to progress.
If you are looking for ways to simply earn some extra, or to provide a significant way to earn money after retirement, why not try them out and see if there is anything there you can use?
This is a really great course to start more quickly and get you ready to earn money after retirement.
