Then they learn to work their business and find out it doesn't go as easy as they thought it would and, frankly, are surprised at how few of their friends want to make money from home. many will then start learning to take their business online.Now, if they already know how to find the power button on a computer (don't laugh because some can't) and get around the Internet they have to learn all kinds of things they never thought they would have to learn. It is amazing how many things there are to learn to run a business online. There is pay-per-click, SEO, social sites, building websites, link building, video marketing, blogging, etc... There is no way to even list everything one could learn about marketing online. And, there are new things coming out every day.
There are also many products that are produced by the top marketers online explaining their personal systems and methods. One only has to look around to find people that promote those top marketers products to figure out what some of the best ones are.
The phenomenon of information overload is quite natural. When someone becomes interested in a new hobby they will seek all they can find out about it. They are also thinking about it so much it starts to show up everywhere.
There are laws of nature that come into play also. There is one called the Law of Attraction that says if you continuously think about something it will be drawn to you and you to it.
With the accessibility of information on the Internet, information overload, when it comes to Internet marketing will never stop and truthfully will only get worse as new strategies are thought of.
However there are some things you can do to get past this problem. First, realize that all those things you want to learn about are just things and none of them really matter, so relax. And learn everything you can about copywriting because that one skill will be used in any and all strategies you ever implement. It is how you will get people to come to know, like, and trust you.
Another thing to think about is a practice John D. Rockefeller used when he built his enormous fortune. Every night before he went to bed he made a list of 5 things he needed to do the next day towards building his business. Not broad concepts like, learn video marketing, but specific things like write 5 pages of an eBook, or make a specific video.
Then when you get up you have a list of what needs to be done and you don't do anything else until those things are done. You don't check emails or talk on the phone or anything. It will be building your business like laying bricks on your house, after 30 days you will have gotten many things accomplished.
