this was my first apt and I loved it. It was always quiet where I was and pretty safe. There were no muggings or breakins (other then my disgruntled boyfriend). I never had a problem with bugs or mice which was huge for me being from Bmore. The kitchen appliances were kinda old but they worked fine. I have no complaints. I only had to call on maintenance to fix the window pane my boyfriend broke when he left his keys at work. They fixed it in no time. Colonial Is Not A Bad Place To Live If You Stay In The Front The Back Is The GHETTO.

This is my second time living here at Colonial. Both time I have lived in the front which is mostly where the older people stay. I advised anyone who would like to move to Colonial ask to have an apt in the FRONT. If you live in the back of colonial, Its the GHETTO and you will regret living here, Trust me I sometimes walk down there. The only problem I have is that my water in my bathroom and kitchen sink just drip 24/7 I have an set fixed amount for water to pay so who cares. You pay for what you get it, Colonial is close to my Mom's and right off the interstate 95 and 295 so thats why i picked this place again. My Dishwasher is brand, I like Free GAS and my light bill is only $34 dollars a month with budget billing, I dont have pest problem I might see a water bug or spider, have not seen a roach yet Thank GOD. I wish they threw in free cable. I pay only $649 Rent 2 BED ROOM With One bath, NO GAS BILL $0,Lights $34 which adds up to $683 Thats cheap.

THE STAFF IS RUDE AND VERY CLUELESS!! NOW THAT THE RESIDENTS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR GAS FOR HOT WATER AND HEAT..THE BILL IS OUTRAGEOUS!!($120 FOR A 700 SQ FT APT IS RIDICULOUSOH AND DID I MENTION WE DO NOT HAVE A WASHER AND DRYER, SO I CANT IMAGINE WHAT IT WOULD BE WITH THOSE) MAINTENANCE IS SLOWMY NEIGHBOR AND I AND BOTH STILL WAITING FOR REPAIRS TO BE COMPLETED FOR TICKETS THAT WERE PUT IN IN FEBRUARY!! HENRICO COUNTY POLICE ARE IN THE COMPLEX EVERY NIGHT DUE TO GUNSHOTS, ROBBERIES, AND DOMESTIC DISPUTES! R.I.P TO THE 1 NICE YOUNG LADY, , WHO DID WORK IN THE RENTAL OFFICE AS SHE WAS MURDERED IN HER APT IN TREEHOUSE WHICH IS A PART OF COLONIAL. IF YOU ARE STILL CONSIDERING MOVING HERE, DO NOT SAY YOU WERE NOT WARNED. I ENCOURAGE YOU TO GET PROTECTION, RENTERS INSURANCE, AND HAVE PATIENCE FOR ALL THE CRAP THE RENTAL OFFICE WILL GIVE YOU. 2 MORE MONTHS LEFT FOR ME. YALL PRAY FOR ME PLEASE.
