1) The first thing you might want to consider is the products that you will be selling. The fact is that not every network marketing company sells products that are good value for money. There are several cases where you could honestly say that the product was overpriced. You can't deny the fact that often, especially with juices and pills, you can get similar products in the high street for a cheaper price. The quality in all likelihood is going to be nearly, or as good as the MLM product.
I always like to ask myself when evaluating a product, does it still sell even if there was no compensation plan attached to it? If the answer is yes, then you have probably found a good product and company!
2) Strong leadership is essential in any company, whatever industry they are involved with. So make sure you check the leadership of the company you are thinking about joining. Research the individual members of the team, make sure they don't have a shady past
3) Run a quick check on the companies trading history, have there been any complaints from consumers? Or has the company been subject to any restrictions or investigations by authorities? A great place to check is the Better Business Bureau (www.BBB.org).
4) What training does the company offer? Many MLM home based business companies offer standard network marketing training to their new recruits. Largely this will consist of making a list of your warm market, which is usually 100 people that you have contact details for. You then start calling them and asking them to take a look at your business. Whilst you can get some success using this method, for most, it's limited. When you run out of people what next? If the companies' training isn't that comprehensive then you need to find a good sponsor.
5) The last thing (but one of the most important things) I will mention, is that you need to find a good sponsor to work with. You will join the company through this person and they will probably earn commissions off you, so they should be willing to help you succeed. You should make sure they are genuine, try and get to speak to them before you join up as it's no good if all of a sudden they are nowhere to be found after you join. By finding a good sponsor you are likely to have a better outcome, especially if you are new to the industry.
Just by following these simple and straightforward rules you can make sure that you find a company that is right for you and can bring you the success that you are looking for.
