Callway Diablo Edge Irons Preview
The Diablo Edge irons are confidence building clubs but if you do need an extra boost
then the longer irons can be replaced with the Diablo Edge hybrid from the six irons upwards. The new 2010 Big Bertha Irons take forgiveness to new heights by integrating a set of clubs featuring the new i-brids, clubs designed to replace hard-to-hit long irons. The set smoothly transitions into traditionally shaped irons that feature increased offset, a larger effective hitting area and a constant width sole for better forgiveness.
The Diablo Edge irons are very similar, and carry a lot over from previous iron models, noticeably their Big Bertha line. Similar looks not only in the way the club looks at address, but also in color make for the comparisons, but then again, this is the Big Bertha "replacement" line.
A new Solid Impact Sole design allows the
Callaway Diablo Edge irons to slide through the turf more efficiently and reduce the impact of any thinned shots. The topline of the club matches that of the sole and has a sandblasted type of look to it that works well in keeping the sun from producing blinding light off of the chrome.
Golfers were impressed by the Diablo Edge irons when they were launched so we were keen to get our hands on the newCallaway Diablo Edge irons.We like the styling and the graphics and our only quibble with the appearance of the Diablo Edge irons is that the short irons can look a little chunky and the large cavity in the longer irons is visible at address.
