The Brother LS2125i sewing machine is very simple machine great for those regular mending tasks, light home projects, or for those just starting to learn to sew - especially kids. It's the perfect starter machine for under $100.

Brother LS2125i Stitch Patterns
There are 10 built-in stitches that accommodate all basic mending and clothes construction work: a four-step automatic buttonhole, 3 styles of zigzag stitches, a zigzag satin stitch, straight stitch, stretch blind hem, shell tuck, and an elastic stitch.
There are lots of more expensive machines for those who want to get into crafting, take up embroidery sewing, or design entire wardrobe collections but this machine is for those who need to do the occasional repair, make a child's play or Halloween costume, or complete some home decorating projects like curtains, tablecloths, and placemats.
Brother LS2125i Presser Feet
Four snap-on style presser feet come with this machine: Zigzag, Buttonhole, Zipper, and the Button Sewing foot. Changing presser feet is easy and does not require the use of any special tools.
These are standard, low-shank presser feet most used for mending and making clothes. They make it easier to create buttonholes, attach zippers and even sew buttons onto fabric.

The extension arm of this machine slips off so that you can perform free-arm sewing to finish off cuffs or hem pant legs. A reverse lever also located on the front of the machine is used to lock completed stitches in place. It is suitable for light, manual embroidering, monogramming and applique stitches and handles light and medium weight fabrics.
There is a built in work lamp, a bag for accessories which is stored in a compartment within the extension arm itself, and the machine is compatible with a twin needle for decorative sewing. A buttonhole fine-adjusting screw allows you to tighten or loosen the buttonhole stitch to cover a multitude of buttonhole options from small, cuff buttonholes to larger button openings. Extra bobbins, needles, a darning plate, twin needle and screwdriver come in the accessory bag.
Beginners find the Brother LS2125i so easy to learn that they are sewing within minutes. Even young children find the easy controls and good-sized knobs and levers a breeze to use.
