Are You Selling Your Business Or Your Products?

Are You Selling Your Business Or Your Products?

It is a common mistake

It is a common mistake. Over recruiting and under selling.

Sometimes this mistake is reinforced by an equally over-recruiting upline. While it is true that the beauty of network marketing is the ability to share the opportunity with other people and make money at the same time, it is equally true that you can sustain your business just selling product. You cannot sustain or grow your business by not selling products.

The ability to sell products is the definition of a legitimate business model. Any company that promises you that you can make money without selling anything should be avoided at all costs.

Because it is true that you have to be able to sell products to be successful in any business, it is crucial that you find a company with products that you can be passionate about. Spend some time learning about all the products the company offers, even though you may not use everything yourself. You recommend a product you didn't even know about!

Find someone to work with that can help you be successful in recruiting and selling or just selling if that is what you want to do. Find someone that will help you set the goals you want to achieve and then help you work toward them, even if those goals revolve around sales. A good business person will recognize the value of someone who is solid in sales even if they never recruit anyone into their business.

Even if you would rather focus on recruiting, sales are an important tool. If you are selling a great deal of product and establishing relationships, people will naturally want to join your business and you didn't even have to recruit them!

It is important to remember that selling is not about convincing someone to buy something they don't want, it is about matching what they need with something you have to offer. You have to know and believe in your products. No one wants to offer someone something they won't buy themselves.

People buy from people. There is a lot of competition for every dollar that is spent. People that like you are more likely to buy from you. Maybe they can a similar product elsewhere, maybe even for less money, but they buy from you because they like you and want to help you. Never underestimate the power of kindness.

Business is not financial science, it's about trading...buying and selling. It's about creating a product or service so good that people will pay for it. Anita Roddick

People don't buy for logical reasons. They buy for emotional reasons.Zig Ziglar
