Those looking at property investment in France will soon be aware that there are many possibilities

, as the country is large and offers different attractions to suit numerous tastes. With Alpine ski property, the winelands, the glamour of Paris, the possibilities of commuting to London from northern France by Eurostar and the sun and sea of the Cote D'Azur there should be something to suit most.

Yet France has not stopped there, according to Les Calvert, director of overseas investor portal Property-Abroad.com. He said that one area which has seen rapid growth was the Atlantic coast. While he was sure the new, faster Eurostar had "certainly had an impact in people travelling to and buying property in France," the Atlantic coast in particular had been a recent area of major growth, stimulated by the arrival of new, low-cost airlines.

He said: "Areas that tend to be showing more interest than previously are Aquitaine property France on the Atlantic coast. The Mediterranean coast has always been popular, but now the Atlantic coast is becoming more popular." He added that this was similar to the way the Silver Coast had been growing recently in Portugal.

Mr Calvert added: "You can get the same amount of sunshine but for half the price of the Mediterranean side. It's also just as quick to get there now because of increased flight routes and more knowledge about the area."

Yet if some may be tempted by this to write off the south of France property, they may have to think again. Homes Worldwide has reported that the Languedoc-Rousillon region, which combines wineries with the Cote D'Azur, has become well established as a holiday home hotspot for Britons. The portal noted that local paper Le Gazette had stated that ten per cent of holiday homes in the area had British owners. In addition to this, it stated, the area is about to benefit from the opening up of a new air connection when Ryanair commences a Bristol to Bezier route on March 31st, which will make it the fifth airport in the region with such a link to the UK.

Moreover, Beziers has plenty going for it, Alex Charles of Languedoc Holiday Home Sales told the website, saying: "Beziers has invested huge amounts already in its infrastructure, improving and developing the town centre, its outlying areas and access routes and its ambitious programme for continued growth and improvement makes it a hot tip for investors."

All this, of course, means that there are an ever-increasing series of opportunities for UK investors in French property as transport links grow and more exciting locations are discovered. If the Atlantic Coast does indeed now have an advantage over the Mediterranean seaboard, the thought that France can offer much in both locations is what may continue to bring in the holidaymakers and the property investors.

In today's world Property investment is an excellent investment option especially investment in UK
