A Growing Demand For Shipping To Eastern Europe

Since recent additions to the number of nations included in the European Union there

are many people who have come to the United Kingdom in search of work and a different way of life. There have been thousands of people coming to the UK to fill jobs and skilled trades such as construction and plumbing that have been difficult to fill.

If you have relatives or even friends you have still living in these countries such as Poland and other non-EU states such as Ukraine then you may wish to send parcels or letters to them and in turn want to ensure they arrive safely and not be delayed or lost in the post. There are plenty of options available to you now when it comes to sending parcels abroad but with some services you need to be sure that your parcel has all of the necessary paperwork along with it. Sending parcels to the Ukraine and other neighbouring states that are currently not members of the European Union will need customs forms to be filled out before the parcel can be delivered.

The added paperwork may be seen as an inconvenience but it is important to ensure that the correct tax and duty is paid on some items being sent outside of the EU. Eastern Europe is often overlooked by people sending parcels abroad as they may only be familiar with paperwork when sending parcels to and from the Unites States of America which people are more used to.

It is important that all of the paperwork is filled out properly as parcels with incorrect or false information could be upheld or returned to the sender. When you are trying to send urgent items to family or friends in these countries then you will want to ensure the quickest delivery possible, not for it to be sent right back or not returned at all.

International parcels should also not contain any prohibited or restricted items, generally most countries will have a list of items that many of us will be fully aware of but in some cases you may not realise something harmless cannot be sent such as a plant or food items. Plants, just like animals can carry viruses and other bacteria that could be harmless in our country but sending them to a foreign country without them being checked and placed in quarantine could lead to serious problems in the destination country as their eco-system may not be able to cope or could disrupt crops and wildlife there.

When sending parcels internationally make sure you ensure your parcel delivery is by the book and dont be afraid to ask before you send your parcel to make sure that you are 100% certain it will be sent without incident.
