Before you decide to get involved with multi-level marketing there are a few things that need to be bright and clear in your head
. Don't get me wrong, my idea here is not to discourage you from jumping in the Network Marketing wild world, but rather to keep you from feeling disappointed once the reality hits you.I consider myself as a "too easy to convince" person: I'm a big believer and will digest pretty much everything people will tell me. I must say I am a little more sceptical when it comes to internet, but off-line, my friends know how easy it is to trick me. There might be others like me out there and that is why I want to make sure you know where you're going before your time and money go to waste.
You will spend money. Don't think signing up is all that will cost you. You have to understand that starting an online business is just like setting up an off-line one. Sure it's going to be cheaper: no employees, no lease, no big maintenance, etc. Besides all the big spending, you will nevertheless need to invest. That's right.
#1 Training: Yes, you will need training. Many many people have failed in the industry; I bet you've heard the famously dramatic line "97% of online marketers FAIL". Most of the time, it is because they will get on board without even taking the time to set up a strategy. I'll say it again: you must think of your online involvement just as you would for an off-line business. Planning is essential, and how else would you plan if you don't know where to start, which tool to use, which trap to avoid? Training, people. You will need to go back to study.
#2 You will soon discover that you will also have to spend money. Advertising money. I'm not saying there aren't any free ways to get leads. There are. But sometimes, it is just more efficient to invest a few dollars and improve your strategy. Let me give you an example here: take article marketing. Once you've worked on your precious piece of writing, you'll want to send it to directories so you're getting your links out there. I don't know how long you take to build quality content and submit it but it can take some time. Well, there are tools called article submitters that will send your article for you to THOUSANDS of directories automatically. You read right. All you will need to do is basically to put words together and click the fantastic "submit to all directories" button.
#3 You will not make money overnight. Building your website, learning the best methods, choosing and setting up your strategy, applying it, generating leads, building relationships with those leads, transforming them into sign-ups and making sure your sustain the relationship with your team so that all the work you've done turns into a decent result, might take some time.
If you want to stay in the race and are seriously decided to build your business, you need to learn to work smarter. Know your niche, find a way that will attract their attention and pick their interest, work on your image, and teach your leads how they can be successful. It all comes back to your knowledge and how effectively you can apply what you've learnt
