subject: Visit East Africa [print this page] East Africa used to be just a group of few countries with common development agendas. Now the region will open further after the signing of equal trading and free movement of people and goods as from July year 2007. The hub receives million of visitors annually, either just for leisure, business or governmental relations. The region s highly favored for its tourism destinations and hospitality. The governments are stable though it's surrounded by insecure regions like Somalia.
East Africa is formed by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania and now Rwanda together with other countries have expressed their interests to join. The region has a long history dating back to the colonial ear. All the regions were colonized by the British and were joined through business trades. Kenya seems more dominant because she has a big port where all these countries rely on to export their goods. The development of railway lines has also joined the three countries opening up remote areas that are becoming hot spots for doing business.
East Africa has also resulted to the development of peace to neighboring countries like Sudan. The same region has also taken it as her duty to revive the economy of former war torn countries like Rwanda and Southern Sudan. The signing in of the common markets treaty may finally result in development of one currency like the Euro of Europe. This will help attract big foreign investors and donors will flock to aid in development of the regions business and political stability will continue t be realized.
