The roads are quite congested in the holiday seasons and can be dangerous for new divers in the city. You can always rent a car as this would be a much easier option and you wouldn't have to spend that much money. Taking boat rides around Jamaica are not advisable unless you want to visit the coastal areas. Also, most of the boats are available from fishermen which cannot be relied upon.

A popular Jamaican dish is rice with peas cooked in coconut milk. As an island country Ackee and Saltfish is the national dish of Jamaica and must be tried by everyone who visits the island nation. Jamaica also has a large variety of fruits and vegetables and you can find both local and imported fruits easily in the market.
