I always had a passion for Manga and was very attracted to the artwork of it. I would try to draw images in my mind down on paper but never came up with what I visualized. My dream has always been to create something better than all the rest and have it publicized all over the place for everyone to see and talk about. I came across a book a friend of mine had shown me on his computer and after reading just a few paragraphs, I was amazed how my drawing ability was already changing for this style. The images were finally coming out of my head right onto my sketch pad. I was creating not only still characters, but animations of these characters. I was keeping their facial expressions in order with their body motions. I couldn't believe my eyes at what I was making finally. The more I read and learned from this book, the more creativity came out. The more dynamic my characters became. The more personality my characters gained. I had a couple friends who are really into Manga ask me to draw them certain pieces and even paid me for my work. I had never even been able to normal art too well either.
This book changed my life and has given me an even greater passion for Manga. I actually carry my sketch book around with me to conventions and show off my work and rarely get much criticism. I'm very pleased. If I hadn't seen the book on my friends computer first, I would have just thought it was just like every other book out there delivering empty promises.
