subject: Capture The Heart Of The City With Paris Pictures [print this page] There is no doubt that Paris is a photographer's paradise. You can spend a lifetime in this most romantic of all cities and still not have sufficient pictures to capture its true heart. Over the years it has been painted by more painters, written about by more writers and photographed by more photographers than possibly any other city in the world. Paris pictures are always in demand by travel magazines and websites all over the world.
It's not difficult to see why. Paris has such a lot to offer the photographer. There are of course the countless tourist attractions that are photographed daily by thousands of visitors: the Eiffel tower, the Seine, the Louvre with its glass pyramid in front, the Notre Dame, the Champs Elysees, the Latin quarter and the wonders of Euro-Disney to name just a few.
No matter how much you photograph the Eiffel Tower, there is always an opportunity to take one more picture. Perhaps take it from a different angle. Maybe take it from closer or further away. You could also try when the light is different, such as at sunset.
It's only the French that can get away with building a metal monstrosity and turn it into one of the most beloved and most photographed attractions in the world! In any other city it would have been frowned up. The world has, however, come to expect and accept the French to be different.
To take pictures of Paris architectural wonders like the Notre Dame is also an endless exercise. Paris has so many beautifully preserved historical buildings that you can spend weeks on end just wandering the streets taking pictures. There are a multitude of interesting doorways, beautiful windows and unforgettable architectural styles.
Paris is about more than the Eiffel Tower and the Notre Dame though: To really capture the pulsating heart of Paris you can't leave without pictures of the people: Students arguing over politics at the endless sidewalk cafes, housewives negotiating prices at the market, old gentleman playing chess in the park, artists creating their masterpieces in the Latin Quarter. Perhaps just spend a day sitting at a sidewalk cafe taking pictures of life as it goes past in this most enchanting of cities.
