The Transamerica Financial Life Insurance Company (TFLIC) held $297 billion in force. The total assets of TLIC in 2009 were $101.5 billion versus the $20.9 billion of TFLIC. TLIC liabilities totaled $95.6 billion while the liabilities of TFLIC were $19.9 billion. The capital and surplus reserved by TLIC was $5.6 billion, and TFLIC reported $1 billion.
