subject: Give More To Achieve Business Success And Financial Freedom [print this page] It is not uncommon to hear people say you have to give in order to receive. You have to give respect before you can earn respect. You have to spend money to make money.
When clarifying your goals and stating what you want along with why, the next part is to determine what you are willing to give in order to receive what you want. It can be looked at as what kind of effort are you going to put forth so that you can achieve your goal?
For me, I found I had to actually give up certain things. I had to make a conscious effort to give notice to excuses or distractions. I would call them what they were, recognize them, and do what I needed to do to step aside them so they would not get in my way of progress.
Everyone is different. What are you going to give to get the success you desire?
Now that you know what you want to accomplish, why you want to succeed at it, and what you are going to give in order to receive these things, it is time to write it down!
Writing down your goal and success statement, getting it down on paper is really important. Not only write it down but post it around. Keep it in front of your face in clear view. Commit to it!
Look, this is it not some willy-nilly silly little attempt to progress in your life. This is for real. Real results take real action on a daily basis. Are you in or are you out? Do you want progress in your life or are you satisfied with how things are for you right now?
I quote my dad when I say Once you are satisfied with what you have or where you are, you will never get any better. I bet that he never knew how much he was shaping my mind at that young age.
I am extremely happy with my life today and very grateful for all that I have and all that I get to experience. But my quest to constantly improve will never stop. Just like things can always be worse, they can always get better!
It is not uncommon to get really psyched up, outline your goals, and write them down, move along a little bit, and then have something try to knock you right off of your path. This is life. In life, there is always something going on. There will always be opportunity for crisis.
A long time ago, I had to actually make a conscious decision to let go of crisis. Give it a try yourself. Let go of crisis, let go of excuses, let go of a billion silly justifications for not staying on your path to possibility.
You wrote down your goals, what you want, why you want it, and what you are willing to give to get them. Read them again today. Keep them in view. Do something today that will move you one more step closer to manifesting your ultimate dream.
Once you decide on what you want, why, and what you are going to give, write this stuff down and keep it in view. Get a journal or a spiral notebook. Keep it on top of your pile of papers not underneath. It helps with focus. Share them with others, it helps with accountability.
Even I keep a little journal. A lot of people that already know me might think that strange. But, seriously, writing down the things you are after is pretty powerful. I like lists too. When you day is getting super busy, if you make that list of the 5-10 top priorities of things you must do today to stay on your path, you will get it done. You will keep taking steps each day that bring you closer and closer to your ultimate goals.
It doesnt matter if your goal is to build your own business, lose weight, spend more time with your family, or just get better at what you do. Deliberate effort each and every day will get you there.
Your journey to possibility has only begun.
