She should also differentiate between the cash items and non-cash items. The non-cash items include charges, coupons, and any returns or exchanges. That is why, she must understand the way to accept all types of payments and the payments that are accepted by the store.
Moreover, she must acknowledge the right time for asking the customer some questions. The questions usually include; when the transaction must be authorized; the age of customers when they purchase a tobacco or alcohol; and how to package the purchase appropriately.
