This different type of coastal habitat warrants exploration because it's one of the most unique in the world. The Aboriginal people of Prince Edward Island still have visible effects on the land, and evidence of cultures from about 10,000 years ago have been found here. The setting of L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables, actually called Green Gables, is located in the park.
