The French culture is forever associated with fine arts and the French films hold a place of extreme pride in the world of global cinemas. This is because the French films from the early start have been bestowed with amazingly talented people who have worked their magic on the people with their cinematic genius. They have translated the tales and plots of the story onscreen into magnificent films hat hold a place with the famous art culture of the country.

Early French films were tasteful and they were portrayals of very fine stories and they were simply done. In fact the bulk of the essence of the French films lies in the beauty and grace of the culture, the language and the fact that the stories are narrated very simply and portrayed artistically.

There are legends in the French cinema history like the Lumiere brothers who are considered the fathers of modern cinema. They produced and created the first French cinema and they started the revolution of filmmaking. When the World War I struck, they were significantly involved in producing newsreels and budget films.

These were not only informative but artistic in their temperament. However, their concentration on this part of the field also saw the rise of other film makers who in turn monopolised the film industry with their works from time to time and made way for artistically reformed and developed in the ways of modernisation, film makers to take the French film making industry to new heights.

In fact there were many tidal waves of art and awareness that was brought along by French filmmakers from time to time. During the early periods of French films the equipments and technology was quite unhelpful to the film makers. They had to complete the shots n single takes to preserve the continuity of the film. This made their work all the more important and they had to be precise because the scope for mistakes was very low and had to be prevented at all costs.

There were a lot of classic French films that had the artistic genius clearly showcased and the works of many avant garde film makers have been produced during the early era of French films. There were revolutions in the French film industry when the film makers decided that they wanted the liberty to make films where the bloom of the art is not hindered by the studios and the financers.

This saw the emergence of a sort of pattern where low budget movies where made that had the art as their first and only ally and could not even depend on huge and expensive sets to tide them over the people whose expectations they had to meet.

However, they managed to produce some of the finest and classic movies during this period and the style of the movie relied so heavily on the talent and the performance of the stars that many important and talented artists found their mark in the glamour world with this opportunity and the world had the privilege of getting some of the finest performers.
