London Is Ready For 2012 Olympics

In 2008, on the closing ceremony of Beijing Olympics, Londons 8 minutes was short but impressive enough which shows us a city full of culture, history and innovation. The red bus which is a symbol of the city and a lot of umbrellas to imply that London is always raining are quite cute as well. When the mayor of London took over the flag of Olympics, the game in London is on.

There are people who doubt that how London should attempt to follow the glitz and grandeur of the Beijing Olympics: don't even try. Or we certainly can't afford anything as fancy as this. The spectacular performance shown by Chinese people indeed gave the world a feeling of awe-inspiring, however, it do not necessarily mean that London can not do at least the same well. In fact, as long as London can present its own unique identity to the world, thats already enough!

London, as the capital city of Britain, has once been called a world in one city because of the power of the British Empire in the 19th century. Nowadays, it is not as shining as before but the remaining glamour and innovation still can easily attract the attention of the whole world. London Eye, London Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Westminster Cathedral make you fall in love with this city at the first sight.

Recently, as the host of the Olympics games for the third time, the city launches the two-wheel revolution (bicycling) to deal with the traffic congestion. On the other hand, the Heathrow airport, hotels, car rental companies are all ready for the mega-sport event.
