Counting Down The Days

There is no standard time and date when it comes to car transport. There are so many factors that affect the delivery schedule of a vehicle such as the location of the origin and destination, traffic condition, weather and even mechanical issues.

The farther the destination from the origin, the longer time it takes for the auto mover to transport the vehicle. It is stated by law that the only allowable time for a truck driver to drive is 10 hours. After that, they should rest for at least 8 hours. The route will also be a big factor in terms of determining the time of delivery. If there are more alternative routes, there is less chance for the delivery truck or trailer to be caught up in heavy traffic.

Normally, delivery trucks stick to the major highways, mainly because of their size. Some of the major highways in the USA are I-10 East and West, I-95 North and South and I-40 East and West. If the delivery is not within the major roads, the time of delivery will be greater.

Automotive transport delivery time and date is also affected by sudden change in weather. In times of heavy rain, hail and snow, delivery time is slower because of the hazardous road condition. Not only will the driver have to take his time for the safety of the cars but also for his own safety and that of the other vehicles on the road. Needless to say, when the delivery truck gets into an accident, the delivery will be delayed for a few days.

Another unforeseen event that can cause delay in delivery is mechanical problems. The delivery trucks of reliable car hauling companies are checked upon before leaving the origin. However, from time to time, there are still unexpected problems that arise. From having a simple case of flat tire to a major mechanical breakdown, these things will contribute to the time it takes for your vehicle to be delivered.

Most of the above mentioned delays in case of automotive transport schedule are on the extreme side. These situations really do happen but in rare circumstances. Some problems are easy to fix so the delay does not need to take days, maybe just a few hours will do.
