The questions range in breadth though many of them are the same, so I thought I'd capture those questions which are the same or similar and my answers to them in a series of Frequently Asked Questions for the top 10 Questions most frequently asked to me. I have captured these and shall be releasing them FREE to subscribers and other readers of my blog posts, articles and podcasts. This is the second of ten:
Question 2.What options do I have for training in how to write business proposals?
If you work at a large company the company HR group will often have special training courses for people involved in bid and business proposal work. These would include people in the marketing or sales department as well as people from the quality assurance, development and production engineering departments. Courses would cover business proposal writing as well as other aspects of Business Capture and Development, including what to do, and how to act, when you are not a "front line" marketing person but you happen to have meetings or trials with competitors or customers.
If you are in a smaller company, or perhaps starting a company of your own, then your choices are more limited. Your choices break into two categories: to attend a dedicated training course provided by specialist training provision companies or to learn using online/written resources. There is a down-side to to dedicated courses which we will cover during future FAQ responses.
