Is it ok for a mom to go back to school? Can you handle being a mother to your kids, working and studying at the same time? Have you been out of school for a couple of years and wanting to go back? If you really wanted to pursue your studies and get a degree, working and having kids is not a hindrance to your goal. Going back to school and finishing with a degree will give you and your family a better life. Money should never be a reason of not going back to school. You can apply for different scholarship or grants so that you can pay for your tuition and finish your course without spending own your money.

A scholarship that was recently offered is the Elks National Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship can award you up to $4000 per school year. Qualification for this scholarship is you should be at least 23 years old, goes to college full time and an American citizen. This is offered to mother, fathers, and student who want to go to school full time and needs extra cash for their education.

Ethnic Minority Scholarship is also an example of scholarship that is offered to moms. This scholarship can give you from $500 up to $2000 per school year. You need to be attending college full time and the required GPA is 2.5. You qualify for the scholarship if you belong to the minority group such as Asian, Native American, African-American, Hispanic, and Pacific Islander.

Another scholarship that is offered to moms is Foundation Scholars Program. This scholarship will award you $2000 to pay for your tuition for your college. You should be enrolled fulltime in a two year or a four year United States college. This scholarship is given to 240 people per year and if you will experience problem regarding your extra expenses while in college they will pay for it.

You can also apply for a scholarship in the university. All you have to do is go to the financial assistance department and ask how you can apply for the scholarship. Aside from scholarship you can also get a financial assistance loan. However you have to pay for it.
