subject: Disney On A Budget [print this page]

I havent been to Disney World since I was about 8 years old. You might think now that I am older now, I wouldnt care to go back. Im 24 now, surely I have put those childish things aside. Well thats not exactly true: I still want to go back. Of course, such a trip is not cheap. First there is the plane ticket, the admission tickets to get into Disney World, and last but not least, lodging. There are certainly plenty of hotels in Orlando, but almost all of them are absurdly expensive. You could potentially choose a motel instead, those are certainly cheaper. But frankly, they are cheaper for a reason. Are there any other alternatives? Thankfully, yes: vacation rentals. The site I represent, MetroFlats.com, has tons of Orlando vacation rentals, and most are extremely affordable. And best of all, they are all very close to Disney World, so you wont have to travel far from your rental to enjoy all the magic.

Aside from the low price, vacation rentals also offer other things that help make for cheap Disney vacations. Because these rentals are homes, condos, and apartments, your room will include a kitchen, negating the need to go out for dinners. And from my experience, dinners around Disney World do not come cheap (and neither does room service, for that matter). Also, unlike hotels, many of the amenities that come with your rental are included. So that means there is no need to have to order a movie through an expensive hotel movie service. In fact, many of these listings have their own TVs with DVD players, so you can actually bring your own movies if you want! So just by choosing a vacation rental over a hotel, you are already going to be saving a ton of money that you might have been spending on food, movies, and more.

Of course, vacation rentals wont help you save on the price of admission of Disney World; that is unavoidable. But there are still things you yourself can do to help reduce the hurt on your wallet. For one thing, try not to spend as much on souvenirs if possible. Its obviously been a while for me, but I remember the gifts at Disney World being pretty expensive (I even realized this as an 8-year old!). And over the years, things have just gotten gradually more expensive, so I cant imagine how much the gifts might cost now. And instead of getting a snack at the concession stands at Disney World, why not pack your own lunch with you? If you follow these tips, and choose a vacation rental from MetroFlats.com, you will find your Disney Vacation will be a lot cheaper than if you chose a traditional hotel. And who knows, all that saved money might make your time at Disney World that much more magical!
