English is the official language used in the United States. You may want to brush up on your English so it will be easier for you to communicate with others.

The measurements that are used in the United States are the imperial and metric system. You will see these on temperature displays, road signs and brochures for your vacation.

Tipping the waitress or waiter is not required in all restaurants, but is expected, with the customary tip being from 15% to 20% of the bill.

For safety measures, never walk away from your luggage in any public place. You may feel that it will be safe for just a moment, but it only takes a moment to have it stolen.
