subject: More Forgiving Sweet Spot Titleist 710 MB Irons Review [print this page]
Nothing gets the buzz going like shiny new blades. Titleist really wowed the golfing world with the new 710 MB, CB, and AP2s at the Buick Open tourney at the end of July. The new Titleist 710 MB irons are a muscle back, true blade design. Some have commented that this offering is an attempt to make a more user-friendly design that has slightly higher ball flight and a more forgiving sweet spot. The 710 CB irons are forged and have a thin sole with a minimal offset. These are not cheap golf clubs until you search online.
The Titleist 710 MB irons are the new muscle back blade design that appears to have mass reduced below the top line and repositioned closer to the sole. This appears to be an attempt to make it a more user friendly design with a more forgiveness in the hitting zone and perhaps even a slightly higher ball flight. It's till a classic blade design very clean and simple so expect most of Titleist's PGA players to be sporting this model on the big Tour.
The Titleist 710 MB irons with Steel Shafts has a uniform muscle shape behind the impact area that provides solid feel. The improved shape has a softer topline, rounder profile for a classic, but contemporary look. The constant blade length with minimal progressive offset for superior shot making with the narrow, cambered sole with optimized bounce angles provides crisp contact.
It also features 2010 USGA and R&A conforming V-grooves and a bright chrome plated finish for a traditional aesthetic. These are not cheap golf clubs for they are the new arrivals on the market, so you'd better check out online.
