What Is Your Reason For Starting An Online Business?

In my previous article What's In Your Home Business? I covered some of the questions you need to ask before you decide to join an online multi-level, home based or network marketing business. The one question I left out on that article happened to the biggest one of them and there's a reason why I did. If all those other questions where just single bullets in your question asking machine gun, then this question is the atomic bomb of questions.

What is your Why?

During the course of my home business I have personally spoken to thousands of people who were interested in starting their own home business. I was immediately happy for them, not because they were going to join my online business but because sometime in the past or recently they had a feeling, a feeling of pleasure or pain. That feeling turned into a thought and that thought put them into action to look for an online business. When I received the email in my mailbox telling me that Jane & John Smith was ready to learn how develop a new stream of income, I would pick up the phone, ready to welcome them to their new life, smiling and just as quickly my joy would evaporate faster than morning fog on a summer day.

I could see them sitting at home in front of their computer, credit card in hand, asking me what to do to sign up, but when they told me their reason for starting an online business, my response was, "I'm sorry. This just isn't a good fit for you. I have to let you go."

Any master marketer knows what that reason is that would make a business professional turn down an eager paying customer and for those of you who don't know, I'll share that with you now.

M-O-N-E-Y

That's not an anagram, that's their REASON.

You're probably asking yourself right now, "What other REASON is there?"

Yes, money makes the world go round. It puts food on the table and a roof over our heads, but in the end, money is not everything. Money is not the REASON.

If everyone in the world just wanted money then we would all work for each other. We would report to a job and two weeks later we would receive a check for our time.

The people who decide to work for themselves have a reason, they have a WHY.

Their WHY is not pieces of green paper. Money is just a product of your hard work.

Your REASON goes deeper than that.

I recently was introduced to a man who worked hard in his life to achieve a position people would consider honest and prosperous. To maintain his position, he had to wake up at four in the morning and would return home at ten at night, everyday seven days a week. Your first thought might be that his job must pay very well and he's doing it to support his family. And you're right.

However, one night he was able to return home early. He went into the room where his 1-year-old son slept and found him still awake. He picked up his son, stared into his eyes and realized his son had no idea who this man was.

How would that make you feel to come home after working countless long days to find the children you love and the REASON you work so much for, didn't even know who you are?

It was at that moment, he made a change in his life because his REASON was worth more than a paycheck. More than M-O-N-E-Y.

A REASON is something that speaks louder than any paycheck.

Think about where you are today and where you want to be tomorrow.

Can your current position give it to you?

I know the answer. IT CAN'T!

I know the answer because I've been there. I sat right where you are sitting now and I knew the answers before I even asked myself the questions.

If you really want to know what happened to that man I met and you're ready to make the same change he did, I know he is ready to share his story with you as he did with me, and countless others around the world.

But before you say YES!, ask yourself.....

You'll be surprised what you will learn.
