Although there are times when pay per click can get really expensive it can really help to bring traffic to your eBay shop and it is worth noting that if you make a sale from a non eBay referenced visitor, i.e. a customer that comes directly onto your site rather than through eBay pages then you get a refund of 75% of your sales costs with eBay. This makes the cost of having an eBay shop even cheaper if your use the PPC properly.
I recommend PPC with the more off the wall or long tail keywords. By this I mean instead of having the word watch as a search able keyword try designer watch or 24ct gold watch. This will give you a better result on keyword searches because there are less people bidding on those keywords.

Tip 5: See yourself as regional
Many bidders like to deal with local companies. I live on an island and because of this I have a great customer following here on the island. If you don't tell your customer where you are from they wont know. The same works in any county or state and it can increase bids. It's a free service in your listing too, which will not restrict who will see your item listing.
Tip 6: Start a PayPal Shop.
This is a service that PayPal offers to any of its customers and it offers other users an ability to search for shops that will accept PayPal. You will get some traffic through this method for selling additional items not listed as actual auctions. As a bonus Pay Pal will feature you every now again on the checkout page and it will give you a pile of traffic for a day or so!

It is important that on large price tag items you are seen as someone that will offer some kind of positive reason and insurance to buy.
