subject: A Review Of The Wall Street Journal Subscription [print this page]

There is no question that you can get a lot more bang for your buck if you buy a newspaper subscription instead of buying at newsstand prices. This is especially true for Wall Street Journal subscriptions. The current newsstand price of the Journal stands at 2 dollars an issue. This makes it one of the more pricey papers you can purchase.

But what makes the Wall Street Journal so special? One recent survey showed that the typical Wall Street Journal reader makes a six figure income and has millions of dollars, making them quite rich.

Anyone who is dedicated to becoming successful would therefore be wise to read the paper that so many other successful people are apparently reading.

The Wall Street Journal is a great overall paper for financial and business news. It is perhaps the most well known and well regarded business newspaper out there. In truth, however, the Wall Street Journal is a paper that encompasses so much more than simply business news. Its coverage includes many topics such as culture, world news, and politics. In this way, the Wall Street Journal serves two purposes. First, it provides the best financial coverage you can hope for, and in addition to that, it gives you all the other news going on in the world that you may be interested in.

Because of the high newsstand price, many people assume a Wall Street Journal subscription would cost them an arm and a leg. This, however, is not true at all. Although the cost of a single issues is 2 dollars at the newsstand, a subscription can allow you to get the Wall Street Journal at a discounted rate as low as $2.29 a week. This makes the Journal less expensive than many other papers such as the New York Times or USA Today, to names just a couple.

If you want coupons and local ads, you won't find them in the Journal. However, for the best news coverage anywhere, you need not look elsewhere. Because of the low price, great coverage, and the fact that it is read by the rich and powerful people of the country, I believe the Wall Street Journal is a paper you should not be without.
