Vacuum forming is a good way to create a continuous plastic form. The body of a toy vehicle is made by taking a holey, rigid mould of the car's shape. Then the lid is closed and locked, and the machine is activated, causing the inside to warm up to a preset temperature. The plastic sheeting will melt to the point at which it becomes flexible.
