In 1992, Kia came to the United States, the first Kia vehicle in the United States was the Sephia and a few years later the Sportage was launched.
Kia offers many models in different market segments in the United States. The model lines consist of the Sorento, Sportage, Sedona, Forte, Optima, Rio and Soul. Kia has positioned itself to be the mid market vehicle of choice in the United States marketplace. With double digit consecutive years of sales growth, Kia is become a force in American automotive. Kia has all segments of the market covered and continues to bring excellent quality at a reasonable price.
The Kia Sedona has everything other vehicles in the Mini Van category possess for a far less money. The Sedona looks stylish and has great storage to haul the family. The Sedona's main competition, the Honda Odyssey has an edge in quality and ride but the Sedona is a great value in the Mini Van category offering good comfort, style and performance.
The Kia Forte is the entry level compact car that contenders with the Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, Mazda 3, Mitsubishi Lancer, Ford Focus, and Chevrolet Cobalt. Overall, it compares well in the categories of exterior, interior, performance, and price makes it a superior value.
The Kia Rio is a sub compact car but has superior room and handles well. The Rio comes in a four-door sedan or hatchback. The Rio offers option upgrades that make it a classy little car. The price makes it even more appealing.
The Kia Soul is a car catering to younger entry level car buyer. It might have a box look similar to the Toyota Scion XB and is positioned to be contending in that market segment. The Soul has a nice ride and at a better price, is a nice offering.
The Kia Sportage has been the flag ship model over the past decade. The Sportage has good performance with the V6 engine offering the best value. The Kia Sportage competes well with the Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4, at less of a price tag, it provides good value. Kia has a solid line up of cars and will content well in the mid level car market for some time to come.
