Under the guidance of Project Vikas, Microsoft India and the Tirupur Exporters Association (TEA) through its Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV), G-Tech Info Solutions (Intl.) Private Limited (GTISPL), introduced new enterprise software solutions for small and mid-sized textile manufacturers at TEA.
This new online software solution will definitely help the textile exporters and manufacturers in Tirupur to employ best business solutions, consequently enhancing their productivity over the coming years, says A Sakthivel, president of TEA.
Highlights of the online software solution package
The solution package will include the following online services:
Online desktop Airtel will provide online desktop, which will offer the flexibility to store and share data from any location at any point of time through a pay as you go model. Besides, it will allow users to avail on-demand desktop applications and managed PC solutions, among others.
Hosted e-mail - Global Outlook will provide the hosted e-mail, which will manage corporate-wide e-mail threats, ensure protection and security and filter contents and attachments from virus and spam at a zero upfront investment.
Unified communications - Wipro will provide unified communications, which will offer cost-effective medium of communication across multiple locations in a single interface.
This new online software solution will provide the SMEs in Tirupur with relevant, cost-effective technology and will facilitate them in overcoming the technological threats, says Ravi Venkatesan, chairman of Microsoft India.
In short, this new online software solution aims at making the Indian SMEs much more tech savvy, which in turn will increase their global competitiveness.
