This country is often referred to as the "Tear Drop", mainly because it is in the shape of tear. However this meaning has other influences as well. One of which is a religious influence, Sri Lanka is believed to be the garden of Eden. Yes, you heard me right, this amazing and beautiful country is supposed to be the garden where Adam and Eve first lived. The reasons for this is the simple glorious beauty that has been bestowed across this entire country!
One other reason to come here is that, only up until recently has this country been a safer place for tourists to visit. It had been torn apart by Civil war for decades and now this war has subsided we are more welcome. Safari tours have now become available, with experienced guides showing you your way through the dense forest! Many places have beautiful surroundings, but none quite like this. Sri Lanka has been barely visited by the outside world, and in many cases some parts of the country still remain still unexplored. There are many that believe this country to be Sacred ground, however they also believe that it should be seen by the whole world.
Now that holiday prices are beginning to come down there really is no better opportunity to travel across the world to see a country that has been seen by so few others. I guarantee that anyone that visits this place will have the most awe inspiring experience, something that can never been taken away from you, and something more important than any other holiday you can embark on!
