Why Working At Home Is A Growing Business Model

Did you see Peter Thiel on 60 minutes? The former owner of PayPal, and 1st investor in Facebook, spent a few of the 60 Minutes Show trying to explain to Morely Safer why more people should avoid going in debt to go to college and instead should start a business, become a plumber, or so on.

Some of us have already caught on. I think that is why you are seeing working at home as a growing business model. Work for yourself and treat what you do as a business.

Student loans now total over $1 Trillion Dollars in the U.S. Many graduates can not find a job in the area they just graduated in and settle for underemployment.

These people often take on a second job just to cover their monthly expenses, which include student loans. Finding a second job is difficult as well, so the smart person comes online looking for ways to make money from home.

Many times what starts out as a part-time job ends up becoming a full-time business. This is a fantastic thing because it helps keep people off of government dependency programs such as food stamps, welfare, and unemployment.

Even senior citizens have joined in on the act. There are only so many greeter jobs at Wal-Mart, and finding part-time work to supplement an underfunded retirement plan is difficult to do.

Working at home on a computer is a good alternative once you figure out how to do it and make money at it. All business models online are available to people no matter how old they are.

You could literally start writing articles and making money when you're 13 years old. You could even become a successful affiliate marketer when you are 80 years old.

The Internet does not discriminate against you for any reason including age. There is one key thing to understand though!

You can find telecommuting jobs, or even trade hours for money as a virtual assistant, or in some other manner. However, people who sit down in front of their computer, and view the work they're doing as a business, are the ones with the most success.

It doesn't take a lot of money to get started working at home. However, it is going to take some of your time, and that investment is really what separates people who make money online and those that fail.

Working at home continues to be a growing business model by those who are either forced into it, or those who figure it out by choice. Either way it's a great alternative to being unemployed or underemployed no matter how old you are.
