subject: How To Drive Online Traffic To Get Clients [print this page] I'm sure you have read about a variety of ways to market online to get new clients. I know that if you focus on just 2 or 3 ways to drive traffic, you will have a full, thriving practice within 90 days. The best three ways are 1) writing articles, 2) short videos on You Tube and 3) teleseminars or webinars.
Writing Articles
Showing your expertise in your specific niche by being a prolific writer will bring you clients. Writing short, 400 to 600 word articles and publishing them on article directorie will showcase you to your potential clients.
When a prospective client searches for an answer to a pressing question they have and then sees your article, they start to trust you as an expert in your niche. A percentage of them will then click over to your website and join your email list, so you can continue to send them great content and occasional offers that will continue to solve their problems.
Videos
Short, content filled, how to videos are a great way for potential clients to find out about you. A one to three minute video on a topic in your niche will draw potential clients to sign up for your list.
There are some free ways to do short videos, like Jing. I prefer to use Camtasia, which is a software product that gives you a 30 day free trial. You just create Power Point slides and record your voice reading your slides. It's that simple.
Another option is the "talking head" video. You can get an inexpensive video camera, like a Kodak Z8 or a Flip camera and record yourself explaining an answer to a question or problem your clients usually have.
Teleseminars or Webinars
Offering free teleseminars or webinars to your list usually results in more new clients. Potential customers get to hear your voice and can ask you questions they have on your topic. You can offer a paid class or product at the end of the teleseminar or webinar or just offer a free 30 minute strategy session. By doing these free classes, your prospects start to build a relationship with you that is trust-based.
You can offer these free classes once a month or even every week. Don't worry that you are giving away too much free information - potential clients that are interested in your coaching style will hire you to get personal attention and answers to their specific challenges and problems.
So even there are many more (and more expensive) ways to drive traffic online, I find that my clients do best if they focus on two to three ways and stick to them for 3 to 6 months. Before you know it, your coaching practice will be filled with your ideal clients!
