Toronto, Canada - GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has announced the release of its high voltage servomotor driver which is based on Texas Instruments TMS320F2812 DSP. This high voltage servomotor driver is designed for high performance Digital Motor Control (DMC) systems.
This high voltage servomotor driver, model B0M10006, is part of a reliable and fast servomotor driver solution that consists of three parts: the EVM2812 board (DSP part), this component (the HVD) and the IB2812 (interface part). It uses a non-inductive absorbing capacitor to eliminate surges and spikes caused by DV/DT effectively protecting IPM. It uses an IPM module with over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-heat protections.
The evaluation board directly connects with one or two DC brush/brushless servomotors, AC asynchronous motors, AC permanent-magnet synchronous servomotors or stepper motors to form a digital servo-motion control system. It utilizes an on-board 60 W rebounding power switch which is able to supply large currents resulting in a safer system. This driver has 8 channels of isolated output which can meet the customers basic requirements for power supply. In addition, it has 4 independent IPM power supplies to prevent damage from bootstrap recharge.
This high performance TI DSP evaluation board belongs to GAOs family of TI DSP Evaluation Boards.
