Online Shops Vs High-street Shops Over Xmas

This time of year is the best for shopping whether its for online shopping or round all the shops on the high-street. The reason this time of year is the best is because every form of shop will start to discount a majority of their designer stock which means many people who have left their Xmas shopping until last minute will get a great bargain for presents for their loved ones.

The question is, is it better to shop online or on the high-street itself? The answer at the moment is unknown as there are so many different pros and cons for each type of shopping that it is difficult to weigh up which one is more beneficial.

The reasons online shopping is great is because you get to save money on petrol and parking, miss out on the busy crowds and queues, and you get to shop at any of the day or night and shop around the time when you are free.

The downfalls of online shopping are you have to pay for postage and packaging (from most places), you dont get to see the item you are buying to try it out, delivery can be late, and if you dont like the item you have bought it can be a faff on to send it back to get the money back that you paid in the first place.

Shopping on the high-street itself has its pros as you get to pick up the latest deals and discounts instantly, you get to test the products and items out before you buy them, it gets you into the Christmas spirit and it saves you money on postage and packaging.

The downfalls of shopping on the actual high-street itself is you hit all the traffic, queues, payments for parking and more. Shopping can be extremely stressful especially if you dont know what you are buying or where you are buying the items from, and this is the same for online shopping as you can spend hours searching for something that you dont know what you are looking for.

A huge tip for any type of shopping is to plan everything you need which means plan for each person you are buying for, what you are going to buy and exactly how much you are going to spend. It all depends on what type of shopping suits you the most to whether you choose to do it online or in the shop itself as they both equally have the valid pros and cons.
